Driving hard to the left you can boof a small ledge to land in the first eddy. You can then sneak down the left edge, or ferry back to right and choose an option.

Dropping over two more ledges and ferrying back to the left will get you to the left side of Hat's Rock.

Sunday at First Ledge, a few rapids upstream from Hat's Rock. The surfing wave is called the Green Monster, and this is the most popular spot on the river.
